Principally, the idea of setting up a business-oriented regional paper is anchored on the need to keep the business community in and around the economic corridor as well as localities in the region better informed on the current and future developments within the growth centers that is Subic-Clark and Tarlac.

NewsCentral hopes to serve as a major information link and business news source between cities and provinces in the region and the three economic and industrial centers.

The current direction of breaking the barriers between the two economic enclaves (Subic and Clark) and turn their respective strengths into a singular economic powerhouse and subsequently create a new economic corridor or frontier has steadily gained favorable public support from the people of Central Luzon.

NewsCentral’s role in this quest cannot be overemphasized as the region braces itself to embark on a hopeful journey toward progress and economic independence. The paper aims to play a pro-active role in supporting the informational requirements necessary throughout the entire journey.

While government and business begin to chart the region’s economic future, NewsCentral sees itself playing the role of a catalyst, so to speak.

Conversely, our modest contribution to this timely national and regional undertaking will comprise of in-depth reportage of events and analysis of issues, as well as providing the principal stakeholders of the new economic corridor (people of Central Luzon) critical information that affects their lives and their future.

Side-by-side, the births of a new economic corridor and a business newspaper are timely enough as Central Luzon sets the stage for its role in boosting the country’s quest for global competitiveness and economic sustainability.
