Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) officials and employees observe a minute of silence for former President Corazon C. Aquino, who passed away in the early hours of Saturday, August 1. President Aquino signed into law Republic Act No. 7227, otherwise known as the Bases Conversion Act of 1992, which led to the conversion of the former Clark Air Base into the Clark Special Economic Zone and later on as Clark Freeport Zone where the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) is located and managed by CIAC.
